The Vanderbilt Beach Resort - About Us
Gracious hospitality for over fifty Years!
We were the first hotel on Vanderbilt Beach and three generations of the Moore family have been operating the hotel since 1968. We take the hospitality business very seriously and commit to making your stay as relaxing and pleasant as possible. Many of our guests return every year after staying with us for the first time. It is not uncommon for our guests to make lifelong friends while staying at the resort – with both the staff and other guests. The Resort is simply that type of place – small, friendly and relaxing.

We take a great deal of pride in our property. The Resort is located on Vanderbilt Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. Vanderbilt Beach is known for its quiet relaxed atmosphere and its beautiful sunsets. Palm trees and native vegetation adorn our grounds and we provide beach chairs and towels for our guests. Directly across the street from the beach is Vanderbilt Lagoon, which is a quiet lagoon with boat docks and access to the Gulf of Mexico through Wiggins Pass. At the Resort you can enjoy sunning yourself on the beach, shelling, fishing, tennis, or simply reading under the palms.

When we started the Turtle Club Restaurant on the grounds of the Resort five years ago, we sought to establish a beachfront restaurant where our customers could enjoy the finest wines and seafood coastal cuisine in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The Restaurant has exceeded our expectations and is one of the most popular restaurants in Naples. Our core menu consists of dishes that incorporate the best of the variety of seafood that is available from our local waters in the Gulf of Mexico, along with the finest beef and poultry and our weekly specials menu consists of unique dishes that incorporate seasonal or hard to acquire seafood, beef and poultry. At the Turtle Club Restaurant, our guests can enjoy our idyllic natural surroundings, excellent food and wine, and warm and gracious service without even leaving the property.

Our overall philosophy is that if you treat all guests and patrons with gracious hospitality they will have a pleasant relaxing stay and return year after year. This philosophy has been the source of the Resort's success for the last fifty years. We hope that you will come and stay with us soon and experience it first hand.

The Vanderbilt Beach Resort - Activities
Enjoy Naples'- natural beauty and gracious living.
The best way to understand Naples is to appreciate its natural beauty. Situated on the Gulf of Mexico, Naples is a boater's paradise. One can explore the miles of backwater and mangrove forests that line our pristine waterways. The beach is one of the finest in the country, and the calm waters of the Gulf seem to lull you into a deep sense of peace and relaxation.

The wildlife is abundant, from our native brown pelican to the proud bald eagle; a bird lover will never tire here. Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is home to the National Audubon Society, where they have set up permanent shop on a one mile boardwalk through a portion of the Everglades.

If you enjoy golf, then Naples is a great place for you to test your skills. With more than 100 of the finest courses in the country, the greater Naples area has few rivals as a major golf capital. The shopping is world-class with prominent names like Saks Fifth Avenue, Pottery Barn and Williams & Sonoma anchoring the Waterside Shops, a truly beautiful waterscaped outdoor pavilion.

Entertainment starts with the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts, home to its own outstanding orchestra. Broadway shows and top performers regularly play this 1400 seat, modern theater. Attached to the Hall is the new Naples Museum of Art. On 5th Ave, the Sugden Theater hosts the Naples Players, who perform amateur theater throughout the year.

One attraction that should be on every family's agenda who visits Naples is the Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, a 52 acre park which is home for fascinating wildlife and botanical wonders.

Dining out is an adventure in Naples . There are so many different choices that you could eat out every night for six months and still not experience them all! Of course the best restaurant in town is right on the grounds of the Vanderbilt Beach Resort. The Turtle Club has become "the place" to enjoy the best fresh seafood and steaks while surrounded by the beauty of the Resort and its beachfront location. It is the ideal spot to experience our famous sunsets.
