Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida, a physician owned and operated medical practice, was formed in 1996 by many long practicing local physicians and has grown to be the largest independent multi-specialty practice in Southwest Florida with offices in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Lehigh Acres.
Our medical services are provided by over 45 practitioners working in five medical specialties including internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics, gynecology and pediatrics.

Our Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners provide medical services to patients of all ages. Our providers strive to give comprehensive quality health care to individuals as well as families. Our focus is on prevention of disease as well as treatment of chronic conditions in order to achieve the highest quality of life possible. Our providers are available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week/ 365 days a year.
Dr. Azzara specializes in internal medicine to adult and geriatric patients. Comprehensive healthcare with priority on prevention of disease and treatment of chronic conditions.
Our Physicians and Midwifes provide OB/GYN services to female patients from adolescents to adults. We perform the less evasive procedures such as supracervical hysterectomy and endometrial ablation. We also perform CMG testing for urinary incontinence in our office.
Pediatrics is a branch of medicine that deals with promoting the physical and psychological growth, development, safety and care of infants and children from birth through adolescence and the prevention of their diseases, injuries and complications. At PPC we have a staff of 11 board certified pediatricians and 1 pediatric nurse practitioner to promote the health and welfare of our children. Our physicians are on staff at Lee Memorial Healthpark/The Children's Hospital of SW Florida, Cape Coral Hospital and Gulf Coast Hospital. The pediatric division has 3 offices conveniently located in Ft Myers, Cape Coral and Lehigh Acres. Office hours are from 8:30 am till 5:00 pm Monday-Friday for routine checkups, minor injuries and any illnesses. We also offer Saturday, Sunday and Holiday hours at our FT Myers office for emergencies. In both our Ft Myers and Cape Coral office we have a triage nurse available by telephone to help you with your child's medical needs. After hours we use an answering service and a nurse or physician will return your call.

Q. How do I know what positions are available?
A. Openings are updated weekly on our job line, which can be assessed at 936-2556. We also update our job opportunities weekly on the web site.
Q. Where do I fill out an application?
A. We appreciate your interest in Physicians’ Primary Care and wish you success in your job search. Applications can be obtained from any Physicians’ Primary Care office during normal business hours. Applications and or resumes can also be faxed to 239-275-0705.
Q. How do I get selected for an interview?
A. Our supervisors review applications daily to search for the most qualified candidates for their open positions. If your skills and abilities are a match for one of our available positions, you will be contacted for an interview.
Physicians’ Primary Care is a drug free/smoke free workplace. Pre- employment drug screening is required.
Q. Who do I contact if I have a question regarding my statement?

Q. If I receive a statement does this mean I owe the balance?
A. Yes, if you receive a statement with a patient due balance you are responsible. If you feel you do not owe the balance please contact the Central billing Office at (239) 275-5857 so that we may assist you with your billing questions.
Q. What if I cannot pay my entire bill?
A. You will need to contact the Central Billing Office at (239) 275-5857 as soon as possible and speak with a Patient Account Representative to set up a payment arrangement.
Q. Will you bill my secondary insurance?
A. Yes. Once your primary insurance carrier has made their payment we will file your claims as a courtesy to your secondary insurance. If we do not receive payment after forty- five (45) days from the date we filed the claim, then the balance will become the patient responsibility.
Q. What exactly is a complete physical exam?
A. It is a comprehensive history and head to toe examination. It may or may not include an EKG, CXR, a stress test, or other screening tests depending on the patient’s age, sex, prior history or risk factors.
Q. What if I can’t make my appointment?
A. Call immediately to reschedule! This not only helps you but also allows another sick patient to be able to seen in your opening.
Q. How long does it take to get refills?
A. Do not wait until you are completely out of your medication before calling. We require 48-hour advance notice of refill requests in order that we may properly record them and contact the pharmacy.
Q. What should I bring to my appointment?
A. New patients should bring their insurance card, immunization records (children), and any previous medical record if not already sent to the practice and a current list of medications.
