St. John's Shoppe - About Us
History
The Shoppe's opening day was on April 12, 1982 - located at 93rd Avenue North. The Shoppe moved to its present location on January 25, 1985. One million dollar level of grants to charities reached in January 1997, and two million dollar level of grants to charities reached in November 2009.

Mission
To provide funds for the parish's Outreach Program while benefiting the Shoppe's 1) customers, 2) volunteers and 3) charities in Collier County that receive the parish's grants. The Shoppe provides a Ministry to many people ... not just those who receive the benefits of financial grants. Lasting friendships between volunteers, donors and customers result from daily contacts, guided by the love of Christ.

Vision
To become known as an ever-growing Christ-centered fund-raising enterprise, offering quality items that are donated to the Shoppe in such a manner as to produce profits to be used for Outreach grants.

Leadership
The Shoppe's Board of Director's number seven members, each a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church and a volunteer at the Shoppe. Directors serve a three year term.

Volunteers
Over 75 women and men volunteer to staff the Shoppe six days a week, serving in half, full or multi-day shifts. They come from a variety of church denominations in the Naples area.

St. John's Shoppe - Charities
Since St. John's Shoppe opened for business in April 1982, more than $2,225,000 in earnings have been granted to local charities, some of which are represented by logos on this page.

St. John's Church does not benefit from the earnings of the Shoppe.
The Parish's Outreach Commission has the responsibility for researching and interviewing charities applying for grants and, based on very detailed criteria, decides which ones deserve financial support. The Commission reports to the Parish's Vestry recommending the dollar amount of grants to each charity, based on its need and qualifications. The Vestry has approval authority.

St. John's Shoppe - Donate
St. John's Shoppe is truly blessed with the generosity of our donors. We have three reasons why You should donate your previously loved items to us. 100% of our net profits are given to local Collier County charities. That means YOU are making a difference in our neighbor's lives. We make it easy. You can drop off your items Monday-Sat from 10am-3pm. Large furniture has to be previewed by our furniture scouts. You can make an appointment and we'll send a truck to pick it up. We do not accept large appliances or mattresses. You'll receive a nice tax receipt form.

We accept a variety of donations including clothing for the whole family, designer labels, accessories, books, furniture, lamps, childrens equipment,toys, household items , jewelry and electronics. We ask that all donations should be in clean and saleable condition.
