Slam Dunk Fun for the Whole
Family!
The inaugural season for Florida Flame Basketball brings
excitement and intensity as well as local events that
promote community involvement to Southwest Florida.
April 2-3, 2005 will be the inaugural Florida Flame
Hoops for Hope Basketball Tournament held on the site
of Germain Arena. The event will be an opportunity
for local basketball enthusiasts to participate in
a top-flight 3 on 3 event supported by the NBA, NBDL
Florida Flame, and the Lee County Sports Authority.
The
Florida Flame is partnering with local charities
to offer a Corporate Challenge
Charitable Bracket, free throw contest and long range
shoot out. A
portion of all proceeds will be donated back to
the community
in support of local causes. The
tournament will
feature over 30 outside basketball courts, interactive
games, booths, an action area
geared toward children, an on-site clinic brought
to you by the Miami Heat Extreme Team, and will
include Youth Divisions, Adult Divisions, Adult
Competitive
Divisions, Corporate Challenge, and Top Men's and
Women's Divisions. Each tournament participant
will receive a ticket to the final Flame home game
vs.
the Fayetteville Patriots on April 2, 2005.
