I live in Manhattan, and visit Naples Florida at least twice a year. The Naples Florida Shopping scene is definitely alive and well. Several of us recently shopped on Fifth Avenue South, and let me just say, we heard a lot of cash registers ring.

Naples, Florida has perfected the Art of Shopping, and has joined the higher echelons of world class shopping. When you set out on a Naples Florida Shopping expedition we suggest you wear comfortable shoes, because you have a lot of ground to cover, clean out your car, because you will need to make room for your new purchases, and finally, be prepared to extend your visit to Naples.

The Naples Florida Shopping options are as varied as the weather here in Naples is predictably sunny. Naples upscale shops, quaint specialty stores, and fantastic art galleries located in the Naples area such as The Village on Venetian Bay, Waterside Shops, Third Street South, Bayfront, and Fifth Avenue South will remind you of shopping in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Paris, and L.A. If you like an action packed shopping adventure, Naples also offers an indoor mall, a nearby outlet mall, and plenty of souvenir shops.

Fifth Avenue South located downtown in Old Naples with its beautiful banyan and flowering Poinciana trees, and avenues that stretch to the Gulf of Mexico, charms all those who stroll along its streets. Browse Naples Florida Art Galleries, and the von Liebig Art Center for works from both emerging and internationally recognized artists. Shop for casual sportswear, eveningwear, timeless accessories and one-of-a-kind gifts. And that's just during the day.

At night Fifth Avenue South comes alive with theater performances by the Naples Players at the Sugden Community Theatre. Restaurants, pubs, and bistros offer fine dining and live entertainment. Music acts, magic shows and comedians appear during the monthly "Evening on Fifth" events, part of a year-round schedule featuring street art shows, sidewalk sales and themed events.

With so much dining, shopping and nightly entertainment, don't limit yourself to just one day. Spend a weekend on Fifth Avenue South indulging in all it has to offer. Naples Florida Hotels, including Hotel Escalante, Inn on Fifth, and the Lemon Tree Inn, as well as familiar names like the Comfort Inn, offer accommodations along the Avenue and are just steps away from the beach. The Fifth Avenue South area is a perfect spot for a Naples Florida Shopping adventure.

Another Naples Florida Shopping destination, The Gulf of Mexico, the Naples Bay, and the 10.000 Islands border Third Street South also located downtown in Old Naples. The Third Street South area abounds in glorious landscaping, attractive courtyards and parks that blends Mediterranean, European and Caribbean influences into an appealing whole.

Authentically Naples, Tin City lets you discover local treasures of yesterday and today.
